Family and Home is the topic. Join me if you would like to do a page. I only worked on it for 15 mins. Fifteen minutes is enough time for me. Anything beyond that will be a disaster as I would alter the page and gesso it over and over again 🙂
Fa la la la la la la la la…and my new FO December 6, 2012
Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas every where you go. It’s now December and with Thanksgiving upon us, we gear up for the coming Christmas holiday. We are all looking forward to family visits, great dinners to be shared by all, and baking cookies and other scrumptious treats for gift giving. Our home is decorated. Christmas cards are in the works and knitted gift ideas are queued up for me to work on. I got time, right? Geez Louise…19 more days till Christmas!
On the knitting front, I finished my Terra Linda! Yay! I am such a fan of Knit alongs as I find myself finishing up more of my projects that way. I am however 2 days late but at least i finished the cardigan before Christmas 🙂 I am so happy my TL turned out fine even with the big difference in dye color with the next batch of yarn I had ordered. This project is so much fun to knit and I have received so many wonderful compliments while wearing it. One of my fave cardi by far. And of course, it’s more special because it’s made by Me 😉 (Can’t buy it at Antropologie nor at Nordstroms). very special indeed!
Live life outside May 21, 2012
Our household is always packed with activities during the weekend. The moment we wake up, we gear ourselves with all of the kids sports equipment, sunblock, sun hats, visors, snacks and our lounging chairs…pack them all up in our car and bring them all to our kids’ games. We typically have soccer to watch and 2 softball and tee ball to enjoy. When we get back home from all days sporting events, we simply enjoy hanging out in our backyard. My husband and 3 kids tackle the weeds in our slope while I plant flowers in all my flower pots and tend to our vegetable garden which is happily thriving. The weather has been incredibly wonderful. We love to make simple bbq and hang out. Our youngest daughter’s biggest highlight is to be able to sleep in the tent in the backyard. Simple pleasures in the outdoors = great quality time with family.
Spring has sprung…Spring cleaning here we come! April 17, 2012
We had a weird weather here in the Bay Area. We had dry winter months and a wet April. We even had lightning and thunder last week. Now, the flowers are in bloom, warmth of the sun comforts you and allergies kick in. Its a sure sign Spring is here. Lots to do in Spring. Plant flowers and start vegetable garden, finish my Magrathea shawl which has been hybernating on needles for a week, stuff amigurumi bunny and put body parts together so you can see the finish product, make my sis-in-law’s baby shower favor and Spring clean. Spring cleaning takes top priority. How to declutter clutter 🙂 Our family room is filled with kids’ books, toys, homework, backpacks, papers, lego pieces, dolls, dress up clothes, stray clothing etc. etc. Oh and not to mention my stash of yarn on the sides of the couch. Yikes! I got motivated to clean and it sure looks much better. Calm. Peaceful room to do my knitting and reading. The kids love it too. Lets see how long it will take to mess it up again! Ha!
