This is Sprinkles, whose name was given by our youngest daughter. She believes it closely resembles Spring. Sprinkles  finally emerged from the craft bag, begging to be put together and showcased. Isn’t she the cutest thing ever?  Check out All about Ami. Click here to see her Spring bunny pattern. I enjoyed making this one. Now our oldest daughter would like to learn how to crochet.
Cute as a button Baby shower favor
I volunteered to make party favors for my sis-in-law’s baby shower and I had so much fun making them. So simple and easy and you can embelish it however you want. First I thought of filling up cute little baby bottles with jelly beans, tie a pink ribbon and be done with it. But the crafty mom in me wanted to do something guests can keep and be reminded of the the event. So, went to Michaels craft store and purchased cardboard shaped stars and hearts, magenta acrylic paints, ribbon, and baby charms and assembled them at home. This is what I came up with.
Spring has sprung…Spring cleaning here we come!
We had a weird weather here in the Bay Area. We had dry winter months and a wet April. We even had lightning and thunder last week. Now, the flowers are in bloom, warmth of the sun comforts you and allergies kick in. Its a sure sign Spring is here. Lots to do in Spring. Plant flowers and start vegetable garden, finish my Magrathea shawl which has been hybernating on needles for a week, stuff amigurumi bunny and put body parts together so you can see the finish product, make my sis-in-law’s baby shower favor and Spring clean. Spring cleaning takes top priority. How to declutter clutter 🙂 Our family room is filled with kids’ books, toys, homework, backpacks, papers, lego pieces, dolls, dress up clothes, stray clothing etc. etc. Oh and not to mention my stash of yarn on the sides of the couch. Yikes! I got motivated to clean and it sure looks much better. Calm. Peaceful room to do my knitting and reading. The kids love it too. Lets see how long it will take to mess it up again! Ha!
Funny knitting video :-) April 5, 2012
This knitting video is hilarious! I found my twin! Teehee. It would be nice to have a yarn warehouse around here in San Francisco but there isn’t any at all. I think I need to travel to Massachusetts. Oh Boy! Enjoy the video. I know one of you out there is a twin as well.  “I am high on yarn fumes!” O-M-g :-))

I am also working on a Spring Bunny Amigurumi. Its the cutest little thing I’ve ever seeen. I stumbled upon All About Ami at Tumblr (Stephanie Lau) and she has the most creative and adorable amigurumi patterns. They are free too. Check out her site. She is so creative and very crafty. You will get inspired to make something.
